Dr. Richard Cousley

Dr Cousley is widely known in the UK and multiple other countries as an expert in orthodontic skeletal anchorage
on the basis of his clinical innovations, publications and lecturing. He developed the Infinitas™ Mini Implant System which the most widely utilised
TAD system in the UK as well as being used in over 50 other countries. In 2015, a commentator described him in the British Dental Journal
as being 'in the vanguard of this (orthodontic) revolution'.
Dr Cousley was a consultant orthodontist in the UK hospital service (at Peterborough City Hospital) from 2001 to 2017, during which time he managed a department and its dramatic transition from a unexceptional clinical facility to one of the most innovative, efficient and clinically productive departments in the UK. Consequently, he is one of the few consultants to have received a national Clinical Excellence Award, in 2011. He left the NHS consultant service in order to focus his engeries on patient-focussed services, clinical efficieny and the integration of rapidly evolving technologies (3D scanning, and 3D printing of orthodontic appliances / surgical wafers).
Dr Cousley has published over 38 peer reviewed papers and a textbook: 'the Orthodontic Mini Implanr Clinical Handbook' in 2013 (in both English and Spanish). He has been an invited lecturer in over 10 countries, including lecturing at the London WFO International Orthodontic Conference in 2015, on the treatment of anterior openbits using mini-implant anchored molar intrusion. He probably has the largest consecutively treated cohort of such cases worldwide and has developed a clinical protocol for both adult and adolescent cases with hyperdivergent growth problems.
Dr Cousley has been an associate editor for the Journal of Orthodontics, an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (England) membership Orthodontics, and an honorary 'Kep Opinion Leader' for Dentsply-GAC Ltd. His other interests include orthognathic planning and treatment efficiency, and the applications of digital technology. Since 2013 he has used 3D virtual model manipulation to produce 3D printed surgical wafers for both single jaw and bimaxillary osteotomies (indepent of CBCT).

Sara is a Consultant in Orthodontics at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales. Sara also works at Northenden House
Orthodontics, a specialist practice in Manchester where she undertakes both NHS and private treatment.
She qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Newcastle. Following a variety of hospital posts Sara undertook her orthodontic specialist training at the University of Liverpool. She completed the Membership in Orthodonitcs examination at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, qualifying as a specialist in Orthodontics.
In 2015 Sara gained her Doctorate of Dental Sciences degree at Liverpool University supported by her thesis "Cervical Vertebral Maturation as a Valid Predictor of Growth". She presented her research at the International Orthodontic Congress and was awarded the first prize in the UTG Research Awards. The British Orthodontic Society awarded Sara the prestigious Geoffrey Fletcher prize in 2016 for her research collaborations in the United States and Italy.
Sara then undertook an orthodontic Senior Registar post at the University of Liverpool Dental Hospital, Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Glan Clwyd Hospital. During this time she gained the intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship in Orthodontics of the Royal College and accreditation as a Consultant Orthodontist.
She has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and is a reviewer for several orthodontic journals. She is also an examiner for the membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery exams at the Roal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh where examines nationally and internationally. She also examines on the Orthodontic Therapy Diploma exam, at the Royal College of Surgeons. Sara is actively involved in teaching and training of post-graduate orthodontic specialist trainess at Liverpool Dental Hospital.
Recently Sara was awarded the Lady Estelle Wolfson Emerging Women Leaders fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons, being the first orthodontist to be awarded this prestigious leadership fellowship. Sara is also a dental speciality ambassador for the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh for the North West region.
Sara can lecture in both English and Arabic.
Dr. Adam Jowett

Adam currently works a Specialist Orthodontist in general dental practice and is completing his Consultant training within the hospital service at Leeds
Adam was educated in West Yorkshire and graduated in Dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2012. Since then, he has spent time in general dental practice in London, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and as a Dental Core Trainee and Specialty Dentist in Restorative Dentistry.
Adam gained a Distinction for his Master in Science (MSc) research project on bonded retainers, and was recently awarded the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Membership in Orthodontics Cases Prize.
