The Infinitas Mini Implant system represents a synthesis of theoretical and practical teaching in the placement of orthodontic mini implants (OMIs).  It is our philosophy that bone anchorage should be a simple and routine option for orthodontists and for many of your patients.

This well-established course aims to equip delegates with the essential theoretical and practical knowledge to begin using mini implant anchorage in clinical scenarios. Intended as an introduction to OMIs, the course will cover the practical aspects of mini implant techniques, including treatment planning and biomechanics.

Aim

  • To explain the indications, benefits and clinical usage of OMIs
  • To provide practical hands on teaching using the Infinitas system
  • To provide a detailed appraisal of the treatment planning process and biomechanics involved for both buccal and palatal OMIs
  • To discuss clinical techniques for using OMIs with direct & indirect anchorage
  • To discuss clinical techniques for anterior retraction, molar mesialisation, molar intrusion and molar distalisation.
  • To critically appraise the evidence regarding factors affecting OMI success rates

CPD objectives & anticipated learning outcome
