Ten Questions With Jude Oakey
Meet Jude Oakey, our newest business development sales team member covering parts of Central London and the Midlands. With fifteen years experience in the field of Orthodontic sales, this lady knows a thing or two about what clinicians need and want in today's busy clinics. Passionate about offering a quality service for her customers, Jude is ready to jump in the car or hop online to give customers the lowdown on what's hot, and what's relevant at DB right now.
Whilst settling into her new role with Team DB, Marketing Coordinator Maria managed to find out a little bit about her. From her favourite dish, to who she admires, and what makes her tick.
M: So, Jude, lets start with the most important question...about food of course!
What is your favourite dish?
J: Salt and Pepper Tofu and Hot and Sour soup! (would have been steak 3 years ago before I went plant based).
M: Nice, and healthy.. we're impressed.
Yum indeed. Can we have rice with that?
What one thing would you have on a desert island?
J: LOADS of water!!!!
M: Well, that is a healthy choice Jude, we weren't expecting that.
What are you really good at? Don't be shy now
J: Finding a solution to things that might seem impossible. Like when a customer tells me something they really need or want, or if they have an obstacle. I’ll do everything to make it happen! Try me!
Sometimes ideas are like buses, nothing comes for ages and then three come all of a sudden.
Who inspires you?
J: My children! Whatever happens, Bertie and Winnie give me such a purpose and motivate me to be the best I can be.

What is your favourite DB Product and why?
J: Ixion instruments! It's through discovering Ixion that I became acquainted with my new Sales Director Victoria Burdess. Ixion is THE most well-known brand of the company and speaks quality through and through. People all over the world ask for Ixion, and I am just discovering just how in high demand it is!

What one word describes you best?
J: Different!! I'm unique, unconventional and proud of it!
M: Great stuff Jude. We like someone who stands out from the crowd!

If you had a time machine, where and when would you travel to?
J: The Garden of Eden, to ‘in the beginning’. I want to see what really went down. I mean, how tempting can an apple be? Haha!

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?
J:Always with family, doing simple things, walks, meeting friends for coffee, pub dinner and home for a glass of wine and film 😊

J: Laziness, lies and intimidation. I value honesty and integrity and surround myself with people who have the same values.
