DB Orthodontics Works Hard to Serve Irish Orthodontists and Dentists
Karen Hiscoe gives a big thank you to all DB Orthodontics' Irish Customers!
Karen Hiscoe, representative for Ireland at DB Orthodontics, recognises the support her customers have shown over the past 18 months. She is also pleased to show off her company’s export awards won in 2020 despite the numerous Brexit and COVID-19 challenges the business faced. DB Orthodontics won best small exporter and best exporter overall at the Northern Powerhouse Awards; and Best International Business at the Federation of Small Businesses.
Being one of the busiest team members, Karen looks after Eire and Northern Ireland customers in addition to her role as project manager for all tradeshows and educational events. By a miracle, Karen still manages to have a calm demeanour and a smile on her face. She says: ‘I want everyone to know that myself and all the team at DB Orthodontics are here to help you provide the best for your patients. ‘Despite all the challenges we have faced in the past 18 months, we are shipping every day, and still working hard to look after you!’

Getting back out there
With the next OSI meeting due to go ahead in 2022, Karen is planning some visits soon, so don’t miss her; give her a call to arrange a meeting.
‘I am excited to get back out there,’ she says. ‘The market is growing steadily for us in Ireland, and I want to go out and see some familiar faces to say thank you, and hopefully meet more new faces too!’ In addition to her other roles, Karen was instrumental in the launch of the Mandibular Snoring Inhibitor (MSI) in UK hospitals and sleep medicine specialist centres. The MSI is a hard-wearing anti-snoring device that is ideal for bruxers and comes with the ideal bite registration tool to ensure a perfect protrusive bite. In addition to her passion for the MSI, she says she loves the Ixion Instrument range, because they are ‘hands down the best instruments in the world for orthodontic work!
